Los Cabos offers the good life
Discover Los Cabos, Mexico – Cabo for short, the awe-inspiring region at the southern end of the Baja California peninsula called Land’s End. There, you’ll find the famous Cabo San Lucas, which boasts the greatest nightlife scene in Cabo. Then, there’s San Jose del Cabo, the peaceful fishing town that inspires the senses of those who visit. Finally, nestled in the middle of these two beautiful towns lies the Golden Corridor, stretching between them.
There are many ways to become a real estate agent
As Nick states right at the beginning of the video, there are many ways to become a real estate agent. But, he has what he calls ‘the easiest way to become a real estate agent.” Simply contact a real estate broker. But make sure you pick a broker with many agents that you can leverage. They will know the process.
If you can convince a good real estate broker to hire you, they’ll walk you through the whole process. But if you don’t seek out a good real estate broker, or if you want to do it by yourself – DIY real estate agent, you certainly can do it. Number one, you need to get licensed. To get a license, you must pay the fee and go through the education program.
Once you have your license, get affiliated with listings right away. You need to have a platform by which you can put your properties for sale and also see other properties. The most popular platform in Baja California Sur is the Baja MLS (Multiple Listings Service). But in order to become a member of the Baja MLS, you must work for a broker or you must become a broker yourself, which requires at least two years of experience.
Becoming the number-one Real Estate professional in your area
To become the number-one real estate professional in your area is surprisingly simple yet profound. According to Nick Fong, it goes like this: “We” are stronger then “I.” To elaborate, if you are selling real estate, the power of “we” gets you much further than the power of “I” or “me.” That means, if you use your real estate team effectively, you really will get further faster.
Each individual real estate agent possesses limited experience – some have more, and some possess less. But working with a real estate sales team, your fellow peers, you will learn from each of their experiences and knowledge. As such, you will now use the power of “we.”
Working closely with your team, you will gain great support when working with a team of real estate professionals. And that support will help launch your real estate career much faster than when you only try to do it by yourself.
Though it may seem obvious, it truly is one of the best virtues of a real estate agent. That virtue is patience. Being patient with your clients and prospects always pays off. But of course, it’s tough. When your clients and prospects run you through property after property, and they don’t make a solid decision after, patience usually runs thin. Don’t let that happen. This is what separates those who succeed and those who don’t.
Then there are sellers who test our patience. They tend to challenge us when selling their properties. Whether it’s not furnishing their home for sale, not repairing damages to their house or condo, or having those pesty renters in their property when you’re trying to sell it, patience will always pay off. And remember this – your competition is usually not patient. That will give you the advantage every time.
Already living in Los Cabos or thinking about moving and now how to become a real estate agent? How do you become one of the best?
