As the most recent additions to the Ronival Real Estate sales team, Alberto Ortiz and Rosella Teruggi sit down with Nick Fong to talk about how they’re creating their new careers in Baja Sur real estate. As both of them are well educated, Alberto in Engineering and Rosella in International Business, these two bright individuals make a well-rounded addition to Nick’s team at Ronival Real Estate.
Briefly learn about Rosella Teruggi
Rosella Teruggi was born in Mexico City. Calling herself “Mexican / Italian,” she mentions in the video that her parents are from Italy – thus, her Italian last name. After collage, she lived in Canada and the United States, which greatly helped her ability to speak English very well. In the US, she lived in Ohio and Los Angeles prior to moving to Cabo.
As an interesting detail, Rosella visited Cabo San Lucas back on September 10th, 2001. That was only one day prior to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. And after the drama of that day, and after enjoying her experience in Cabo, she decided to stay. Therefore, she’s been in Cabo of just over 20 years now. And prior to working for Ronival, Rosella was in working in the hospitality industry.
Briefly learn about Alberto Ortiz
Also born in Mexico City, Alberto Ortiz moved with his family to Cabo when he was only 12 years of age. As he states in the video, prior to joining Ronival Real Estate, Alberto had worked in resort sales for five years. As such, he’s not new to the sales industry. But of course, he’s new to real estate, even though resort sales is very similar.

As Rosella mentions to Nick in this discussion, her true passion is real estate. And when you combine that passion with a great love for Baja California Sur, magic happens.
Tips and tricks in real estate from Bill Pipes
As Bill Pipes regularly mentions, success comes from looking for patterns and keeping an “always learning” mindset. He defines that mindset as being humble and always trying to learn more – stay hungry. Then, look for patterns. Success really does leave clues. If you carefully watch and learn, you will see patterns for success and patterns for failure. Therefore, take note of these patterns that you see.
As one of the biggest tips for new agents, Bill Pipes says that you must surround yourself with people who are doing more than you. Take them to lunch, and glean all that you can from their knowledge and experience. They will have insight that can truly correct and enhance what you are currently doing as you grow and become successful.
Your need for a sales coach and mentor to guide you along
As Bill Pipes mentions frequently, make sure you get someone that will tell you to do this or to not do that. Although Nick Fong was already successful as a real estate broker, when he signed up for coaching, his business took off like a rocket.
When your steps are guided by a mentor and a coach, their insight will keep you on the right path to success – you can avoid the mistakes that they had made.
